Vehicle Description
STK 2557 1951 Chevrolet Fleetline Street Rod
When you think about the Chevys that were produced right after the
war, sleek is not an adjective that first comes to mind. That said,
this 1951 Fleetline is certainly an exception and Chevy didn't
produce a car with these lines again until the '65 Impala SS. These
'50s Fleetlines are scarce, and one restored to this level is rare
indeed. This 1951 4-owner Fleetline has spent most of its life in
the Carolinas. Originally purchased from Thackston Chevrolet in
Greenville SC, the first owner kept the car for over 30 years and
put a total of only 33,461 miles to the odometer. There is a binder
included with the car that documents all of those early years -
amazing. From the chrome hood ornament to the fastback rear
quarters, this fully restored Chevrolet is now one unique street
rod. Attention to detail is outstanding. The body is straight and
true, Green Metallic paint is stunning, chrome is excellent and the
steel rims w/dog dish hubcaps/rings are perfect accents. Inside the
spacious interior, the upholstery work is exceptional - the seats,
door cards, headliner - all restored to near original appearance.
The time-honored dash now holds a full compliment of Dolphin
Classic gauges. Tinted windows, Vintage Air and a tilt column with
'Camaro' wheel complete the package. Under the hood, the Fleetline
is powered by a totally rebuilt 350 backed by a GM 700R automatic
transmission with electric overdrive. Upgrades include: Edelbrock
4-barrel, aluminum intake, shorty tube headers, aluminum radiator
w/electric fan and a dress-up kit. The chassis has been retrofitted
with a Mustang II front suspension package, power steering and
dropped spindles. Brakes are power disc/drum with a dual master
cylinder. Take a moment and look again at the photos. This
beautiful Chevrolet 'fastback' is ready for a new owner. ALL
VEHICLES SOLD "AS IS".
