Vehicle Description
2002 Chevrolet Camaro SLP
When 2002 arrived the 4th generation of Camaros was coming to an
end with no immediate plans to continue. With slowing sales for
sport coupes many thought the 35th anniversary was going to be the
end with the F body closing out the Camaro line for good. That
proved not to be the case though as the Camaro returned in 2009 and
the Camaro lived on! Out of the 4th generation F bodies many
preferred the post 1998 cars as the redesigned front end had a much
more sleek sporty appearance and distanced itself from the more
open headlight look of the 80s. This 2002 SS SLP is a great running
car that has been very well maintained since new. It came out of
the Canada plant which would be shut down soon after the 2002
production was completed. This car has 29,669 original miles and
runs just as well as the day it rolled out of the factory. The body
is in great shape with no signs or previous wrecks or damage. It is
painted in a Dark Blue which is nicely accented by custom Silver
accents on the hood and running down the sides. The dark tinted
windows look perfect on the car and with T-tops you have the option
of cruising around in a coupe or opening the top on those nice
weather days. The chrome SS wheels are in great condition and
wrapped with Continental Extreme Contact tires.
Powering the car is a great running LS1 motor that performs well.
These engines were released in the 1997 Corvettes and were the
first aluminum block motor put out since the 60s. It is truly an
iconic motor that would change hotrod building forever. Where you
would typically see a chevy 350 suddenly street rods were sporting
the LS1. Mechanically the car needs nothing and it has received all
tune ups, oil changes, etc since new. It is backed by a 6 speed
manual transmission which lets be honest, makes it extremely fun to
drive!
The interior is done in all Black and looks great. Nothing against
younger drivers but you can tell the car was adult owned and
maintained. It wasn't raced or abused. The upholstery work all
looks good and it doesn't have any rips/tears. Everything has the
original style layout with no real customizations. It still wears
its Camaro SS and 35th anniversary trim pieces on the dash. The
AM/FM/CD player works properly as does the heat/AC and everything
else.
If you wanted one of these new this car is a great opportunity. It
needs nothing but you behind the seat ready to enjoy your
drive!
It is being offered up at the very reasonable price of
$18,880.00!
