This car spent almost it's entire life in Pennsylvania. A one owner car for almost it's entire life. A Mopar performance shop purchased the original car after it had been in storage since the late 1970s. They built the 1963 318 engine which now has 23,000 mile on it and were using the car as a shop vehicle.
With the current following that "rat rods" have, this is a perfect car if you are looking to join that large group of builders and collectors. You can get in this car and drive it to California with no problem.
The interior has been partially redone. The seats and carpet are updated, but door panels and rear section of the wagon are original.
This is the original steering wheel for the 61 Belvedere Suburban wagon. The current owner repaired and refurbished it.
The mileage is said to be original. Watch the video to see this great old horizontal speedometer working.
The original push button shifting has been changed to an A500 4 speed automatic on the floor.
Notice the great condition of the original buttons and knobs on the dash.
The current owner built this really great portable air conditioning unit!! Just set it on the back seat with the vents facing forward, fill it with ice, and plug it into your cigarette lighter and there you go. Instant cool air.
Under the hood is the great running 318 Poly Head 318 with it's Chrysler dual carb intake and Edlebrock carbs.
There is surface rust underneath, but all in all the car is solid.
You can see the newer 3" dual exhausts with Flomaster mufflers
The one major section of body rust has been replaced with a piece of metal and left unpainted to add to the rat rod look.
We have a scanned copy of the original owners title and a registration from the last year the car was on the road before being stored, along with the build sheet.
The carton in the back has the parts for power steering.
Again please feel free to call Dave at 214-213-7072 or Maris at 214-616-2317.
This is your opportunity to own a really great old Mopar that you can just have fun with.
