1961 CADILLAC FLEETWOOD LIMOUSINE ( SERIES 75 ) ONLY 699 LIMOUSINES
WERE BUILT IN 1961. THIS CADILLAC WAS PARKED IN DRY STORAGE ALONG
WITH 4 OTHER ONES SINCE 1982. WHEN I FOUND IT, IT WAS COVERED WITH
A THICK LAYER OF DUST (SEE PHOTOS). THE PREVIOUS OWNER HAD STARTED
THE ENGINE FROM TIME TO TIME. I DISCONNECTED THE FUEL LINE FROM THE
CARBURETOR ( ASSUMING IT HAS OLD FUEL), GRAVITY FED THE CARBURETOR,
IT STARTED AND RAN FOR ABOUT 20 SECONDS WITHOUT ANY UNUSUAL SOUNDS.
I DID NOT WANT TO KEEP IT RUNNING UNTIL ALL FLUIDS WERE DRAINED AND
FRESHENED UP. THIS CADILLAC HAS BEEN IN A TIME CAPSULE FOR ABOUT 37
YEARS. THE PAINT IS OLD BUT PRESENTABLE. THERE ARE A FEW PITTS AT
THE REAR EDGE OF THE TRUNK AND SOME BUBBLES AT THE PASSENGER SIDE
LOWER ROCKER PANEL. THE BODY PANELS, FLOOR PANS, TRUNK PAN, INNER
FENDERS, ETC. ARE RUST-FREE. THE DOORS OPEN AND CLOSE LIKE A NEW
CAR. I USED STEEL WOOL TO CLEAN THE BUMPERS AND MISC. TRIM. THEY
CLEANED UP GOOD BUT NOT PERFECTAS NEW. THE ORIGINAL TIRES WERE VERY
DRY AND NOT HOLDING AIR. I INSTALLED 4 NEW TIRES TO BE ABLE TO LOAD
AND UNLOAD THE CAR. THE ORIGINAL INTERIOR IS NICE AND CLEAN WITH
THE REAR JUMP SEAT. WHEN THE BATTERY WAS HOOKED UP, I CHECKED ALL
THE LIGHTS AND THEY WERE WORKING MEANING THAT THE RODENTS DID NOT
DAMAGE THE WIRING HARNESS. I HAVE A CLEAR TITLE IN HAND DATED MARCH
1, 1982. I HAVE THE ORIGINAL OWNERS MANUALS. Please Note The
