Vehicle Description
1956 Chevrolet Custom
When it comes to classic cars it is a pretty safe bet that the tri
five Chevys will never go out of style. For years these cars have
been the poster car for the classic car hobby and it has gotten to
where even someone not really into classics can identify them. This
56 is an absolutely beautiful example of one of these cars and is
in excellent condition. The car was very well built and transformed
into something that is 10 times better than it was even right off
the factory line. The car was completely disassembled during the
process and put back together with only the top of the line
components. It rides on an Art Morrison chassis that was powder
coated Red. The body is flawless and coated in a Red with White
combination. The paint finish is gorgeous and suits the car
perfectly. With a lot of undercarriage components painted to match
the body the car can easily be parked over mirrors at shows because
the underneath is just as beautiful as the top. The chrome and
stainless pieces have a great shine and are all cleanly mounted in
place. It has the California bumpers in front and rear. The glass
is perfect and tinted. You really won't find any weak areas on this
car and is the type of vehicle you can hop in and comfortably drive
anywhere. The aftermarket Budnik wheels look great and with mini
tubs in the back the wider rear wheel fits perfectly under the back
fenders. It has a great stance and looks perfect whether it is
sitting still or rolling down the road.
One of the cool things about this car is that it has the stock
style exterior but when you look at the drivetrain, undercarriage
and interior the fun really begins. It was a 6 cylinder car
originally but that is long gone. It is now powered by a new LS1
fuel injected motor. Taking one look under the hood indicates how
well this thing was put together. You find touches of Red
throughout to give it a very clean cohesive look. Even the grills
on the radiator are Red! The motor runs extremely well and has zero
issues. It may look like an old Chevy but it runs like a brand new
Vette. All of the nice luxuries are there too like the power disc
brakes, power steering and air conditioning. The car was built to
not only look great but to be driven and enjoyed. It performs very
well on the road and truly needs nothing. The new 4 speed automatic
transmission shifts smoothly and sends power back to the nicely
painted gloss Black Ford 9 inch rear end.
The interior of the car is done in Beige leather and looks like
new. The upholstery work shows no signs of age and was very well
done. It has a split bench seat up front with high backs behind the
driver and passenger. The dash has the original style layout but
has been fitted with nice Billet trim and white faced Autometer
aftermarket gauges. The gauges sit in the original location but
instead of just the speedo incorporate gauges for the oil, temp,
volt and fuel as well. It has a Budnik wheel topping off the tilt
column that was painted to match. The Vintage AC is an under dash
unit but utilizes nicely incorporated middle vents and side vents.
The AM/FM/Cassette stereo works perfectly and it has a CD changer
in the trunk so you can bring all your favorite tunes along for the
drive.
We can't say enough how beautiful this car is in person. It has
less than 400 miles on it since being finished so it is a brand new
build. It has had just enough miles to break it in while still
keeping it looking fresh. It has a long life ahead of it and this
is a great opportunity to take advantage of a just completed build
without having to do the work yourself. Anyone who has built a
classic in this style will tell you the cost invested greatly
exceeds the asking price.
Take it home for $87,500.00!
