Vehicle Description
Great colors, proper V8 power, and a value price make this recently
restored 1979 Ford F-100 Ranger XLT the kind of truck you want when
it's time to enjoy the good life.
This truck was repainted the original T-code Candy Apple Red less
than a year ago during restoration, and there's only been about
1,000 miles put on the truck since then. So this one is as bright
as a fire engine. But it's the total package that really makes this
one stand out. Ford put everything they had into the F-100 for
1979. This was the last year for the highly stylized chrome accents
on their upper level trim lines like the Ranger XLT. On a truck
like this, the bright strips help to serve as a guide to
demonstrate how straight the body lines are. And this is also part
of a very well-coordinated package when you look at the rocker trim
and black & polished wheel setup. In fact, with the bright grille,
chrome bumpers, and full bedrails, this really represents
everything you love in a classic American. Because a bedliner comes
with the sale, this F-100 still knows how to get to work.
Inside someone has gone to great lengths to keep this red looking
factory fresh. The dash, carpet, door panel, and headliner all
match the exterior in a shade that is usually seen in an aggressive
sports car. An especially nice touch is the seat that's made in
durable vinyl but with comfortable cloth where you sit. The Ranger
trim level means this one also has nice wood accents. Plus, there
are some enjoyable additions like a sports steering wheel, cup
holders, and an AM/FM/CD stereo. This truck does have provisions
for factory air conditioning, but really, we know your favorite
breezes are the old school ones come from opening the vent windows
and sliding the rear glass.
Under the hood is the correct 351 cubic-inch V8. Not only does this
look highly correct (right down to the jack mounted on the fender
wall,) but also this is believed to be the original motor to the
truck. The tidy setup and the way this one fires up readily lets
you know it has been maintained properly. The V8 has plenty of
grunt to make light work of any task you throw at it. Plus, the
three-speed automatic transmission, power steering, and power front
disc brakes are all handy features for everyday use.
Clean, straight, interesting, and affordable - this F-100 checks
all the right boxes. So you know it's not going to stay available
for long. Call now!
