European Motor Studio is excited to offer this gorgeous 1974 Alfa Romeo GTV 2000 finished in an outstanding color combination of Azzurro Le Mans over Saddle Boarskin. AR3024473 left the Turin factory in June of 1974 and was designated to be used by Alfa Romeo, Inc. Possibly used as a company car and then at the end of 1974 it went to Knauz Mercedes-Benz inventory at the end of 1974. A Becker radio was installed in the car at the time and the car was used as a demo for 2 years. The original new car bill of sale is present with the car dated December 1976 and sold by Bill Knauz to one of his close friends and well known Alfa Romeo enthusiast and collector Hal Chalmers. The car made its rounds through the numerous events and shows under the ownership of Chalmers until gifting the car to his daughter sometime in the early 90’s which then underwent a restoration and repainted in its original Azzurro Le Mans. At that time a real set of NOS Cromodora Daytona wheels were put on the car. The car was then consigned with Al Promisco who had done all of the service work for Chalmers. The car was sold to the second owner in December of 1992 with just 45,000 original miles. At that time the SPICA was converted to Webers with rare Euro air cleaners and the cams were changed out coming from a carbureted 2000. The car has been owned by the second owner ever since. This is an incredibly well documented GTV with receipts and history back to brand new. With just 2 owners from new this GTV comes with all of its history and a log book of all receipts and mileage. The Azzurro Le Mans Blue paint shows very well with just minor stone chips in the front nose and a small touch up on the rear quarter edge where the body meets the tail lights. The GTV appears to have its original chrome and bright work with excellent body fitment and dry rot free body seals. The interior is in outstanding condition with newer carpets. The wood is in excellent condition with minor wear on the lower console and the dash is free from any cracking. The engine starts right up and idles beautifully. There is no smoke under start up or acceleration. The transmission shifts incredibly well free from any typical grinding in the gears. The brakes feel very strong and free from any fading. All of the electrical items are functioning including all of the interior and exterior lights and all of the dash lights. The original Becker radio works as it should. The car comes with its original tool kit, original owners handbook, original Alfa Romeo service booklet, original sales and service booklet, guide to service booklet and original sets of keys. This is a rare find to have an Alfa Romeo GTV with such excellent provenance back to new and so complete.
