Vehicle Description
This is one of the hottest cars on the market- 1978 Trans Am and of
course it needs to be Bandit black! This one has vin # matched
motor and trans. It has been off the frame restored.
EXTERIOR: It doesn't get any more desirable than the black and gold
Bandit package. Factory black- code 19. This car has a super clean,
straight body. Panels and scoops fit nice, rubber bumpers are
excellent. The paint has a polished gloss black finish front to
back. It has the complete correct gold decal kit. The gold grills
look new. The shaker hood is not cut or modified. Windshield looks
new. Has optional glass t-tops. Door jambs are painted real nice,
weatherstrips and sill plates have been replaced. New BFG tires on
15 inch snowflake wheels.
INTERIOR: Freshly restored. Seats have been reupholstered, the
console is excellent- no cigarette burns or holes drilled. Dash
area is clean, not cut or drilled.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: It has a vin # matched Pontiac 400 motor. It
appears to be completely stock- complete air cleaner and snorkel,
vacuum lines properly ran etc. Everything is cleaned up and painted
nicely too. Features include air conditioning, cruise control,
power steering and brakes. The air was updated to R134 freon.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Very clean and complete. Has mat, collapsible
spare with air bottle, jack and t-top bags. Paint is nice, has
decals and new weatherstrip.
UNDERSIDE: It was seperated from the frame for restoration. The
floors are really clean original metal sprayed in primer like it
left the factory. The lower inner 1/4s are clean original metal.
Everything under this car was restored- every bolt, clip, bushing.
The front end was rebuilt, shocks replaced. Brakes, lines, hoses
were replaced, etc. E-brake assembly is complete. Bottom of motor
is clean, new starter, has flywheel cover. Correct exhaust that
splits into dials with splitter tips. Has original posi rear and
vin # matched turbo 350 trans.
This isn't a brand new trailer queen restoration but it was
completely apart and properly restored and only 2,400 miles have
been put on since. Looks like it was a really clean car to start
with. The only thing missing is a white cowboy hat!
