1972 Dodge Charger Rallye. Rebuilt 318 2 barrel (approximately 3000 miles) rebuilt transmission functions as new.. Duel exhaust with Flowmaster mufflers. This was my Fathers baby, I inherited after his passing. Here is what I know, originally bought used by my father in the late 90’s with the original Top Banana paint and black vinyl top.
My father being a Richard Petty fan had the car repainted in the famed Petty Blue paint. Hood bulge and tail panel are painted black, door slots have black Year One vinyl decals. He had the engine bay, door jams and trunk painted to complete the look he wanted. Seats covers and vinyl top have been replaced, both show in great condition. Floor console, T handle shifter, Rallye specific taillight covers and lenses, headliner are all in good shape. I recently installed a reproduction Tuff Wheel and have the original 3 Spoke wheel as well. Front suspension, all brakes and torsion bars are new. Bumper chrome both show great from being redone by Bumper boys years ago. It has new BFG TA radials on all 4 original Magnum 500 rims with centers and rings. Body panels, floors and trunk are all rust free and solid. The car is currently and has been garage kept since being purchased by my father.
What I know it needs. Dash has a dash pad cover on the original cracked dash. Shows ok but could be better. Drivers door sags and could use bushings. Hide away light doors are not functioning when lights are turned on. The hideaway light covers, rods, grills and mechanical parts are all installed on the car. I open the covers with a knob on the motor. Not sure what is needed for the motor to function..
My father used the car for local shows and occasional cruiser nights. The car is an honest, stock original appearing, driver quality car. I hate having to sell it however I have my own projects and limited time, garage space and finances to do the car justice. The car is a great example that was very well cared for and needs a good home to be enjoyed to it’s full potential. If interested in more information or would like to see it please contact me.
Again I'm not excited to sell so please serious, legitimately interested inquiries only.
