1961 Buick Invicta bubbletop. ( only 6300 produced. fewer than 62
chevy bubbletops ) Purchased 9/15 out of Denver Co. as a rust free
driver. Started total frame on restoration shortly after it arrived
in NC. Disassembled car except for rear end and began
transformation into the beautiful crowd pleaser it is today.
Stripped to bare metal after thorough steam cleaning. Removed
interior to clean and dynamat floors prior to tasteful makeover
inside. ( Interior was in very good condition but I installed new
carpet, recovered seats and dyed dash pad. ) Car retains its
original 401 ci nailhead, tranny and 3.23 posi rear. Engine
completely rebuilt and has 1500 miles. Tranny and rear end serviced
and in excellent condition. New show quality base/clear paint 1 1/2
yrs old. New 18/20' wheel/tire combo. Jamco 3' and 2' lowering
springs provide the great stance. Power steering and power booster
rebuilt and work great. High quality restoration on a great
cruiser. Many awards including Goodguys ' Bitchin Buick ' pick at
2017 s.e. nationals. It was also recently featured on episode 1711
