For Sale: 1967 Plymouth Sport Fury in Old Bethpage, New York

Vehicle Description

1967 Plymouth Sport Fury Fastback Hardtop Coupe

The Fury was Plymouths most successful and most popular brand throughout the late 50s into the 60s and 70s.  There were several Fury models and body styles.  One of the least known and hardest to find was the Sport Fury Fastback.  The Sport Fury Fastback of 1967 was Plymouths version of The Chrysler 300.  A luxury based car with a sports car feel and a sports car power plant.

This Sports Fury Fastback came factory equipped with the most powerful engine option of the 67 Fury, the 383ci 325hp 4bbl Commando engine.  The engine is the original engine with a few added upgrades such as an Edelbrock manifold and carburetor, Mopar Performance valve covers and air cleaner.  The engine itself is completely stock.  The car starts, runs and drives perfectly with plenty of power.  The engine kicks down smoothly when warm and pedal response is immediate at any speed.  Power steering and power brakes make cruising easy.  Dual exhaust was also a factory option.  Three inch tips were added and can be easily removed. The Goodyear tires are like new and the original Plymouth hubcaps are still on the car.

The interior is completely original and came from the factory with this very rare color combination of red on red. Every red Fury we’ve ever seen came equipped with a black interior!  The interior is in excellent condition but not perfect.  Seating is super clean and slides easily.  The door panels are clean and in excellent condition. The instrument panel is clean and all gauges are clear and work as they should. EVERYTHING works!  Speedometer and all gauges, AM radio, air conditioning, wipers, horn, interior & exterior lights, Chryslers famous fender mounted directionals, dual outside mirrors, front & rear seat belts and the added under dash Mallory tachometer with Rev-Limiter.  So whats not so good? There is a small stitching tare on the drivers left side seat down low by the seat adjusting lever (shown in photos).  Also shown, is a 3″ dash crack on top by the dash speaker.  There are No other interior issues to speak of.

The rust free body is in excellent condition with no dings or dents at all.  There are no indications of the car ever being damaged in any way.  Body panels are straight with no waves at all to those extra long quarter panels.  There are no dings or dents.  Chrome and trim are in excellent condition as well with no dings and no pitting.  The paint has been refinished in its original color of Bright Red, Chrysler color code PP1.  The paint shines bright with no bubbling however this is not a show quality re-paint. Overall, the paint is in great condition.  Only a close inspection of the paint will show any imperfections. The black vinyl top is as good as new.

Overall, this is a better than average driver quality classic that anyone can enjoy at any time.  It is capable of driving anywhere in complete comfort.

This is plenty of car with plenty of power!  Tons of fun without spending tons of money!
