1965 Ford Mustang 289 Convertible
Garage Kept Motors is proud to offer a very clean and highly
original first generation Mustang Convertible. This 1965 example is
originally from Kentucky and has been owned by our client since
1991. Always stored in a heated garage, the car has been cared for
and kept as original as possible.
Right before purchasing in 1991, the car was completely restored by
a shop in Cadillac, MI. It was painted in factory original Rangoon
Red with a white soft top and over a White vinyl interior. The car
is powered by the original 289ci/200hp 2bbl V8 mated to the
original floor shifted C4 Automatic transmission. The car is also a
Factory AC car and has a power convertible top option. The Pony
interior, wood trim and wheel, dual exhaust, and steering column
mounted tachometer and clock, are also desirable features. The
clock even works! The luggage rack and center console are the only
non-original pieces.
Known in the community for a well-kept Ford collection, this
Mustang is the last piece in his garage on the market. Seeing
average condition 289 Convertibles are valued at $30k, we think
this is a great value at the price offered here. Shouldn't last
long. Be sure to check out all the photos and video on our main
website: Garage Kept Motors. Call if interested or e-mail with any
questions. Thank you for looking.
