1988 Porsche 944 2 door hatchback in remarkable restored condition is being offered for sale by Grobartig Motor Sports in Miami, Florida. This car has been completely restored by GMS's Fabrication team. It was Freshly painted to its factory maraschino red metallic paint and has received the following exterior upgrades: new IFC Racing front spoiler, splitter, new IFC Racing side skirt rocket covers, and a new diffuser. It's doors and body panels all line up correctly with the gaps all looking standard. We replaced the window slot seals, all rubber moldings and seals were replaced when painted including the sunroof seal kit, decklid shocks and rear wiper motor is also new. The sunroof is electric and can also be manually removed and installs easily. The headlights pop up and go down smoothly, the Bright's and fog lights also operate correctly. It has new tires and custom BBS MAHLE Alloy Wheels with the Porsche logo.
Mechanically, the car is solid, it is a 5-speed manual transmission with around 96,000 original miles showing on the odometer but only 70 miles since the restoration. Just to mention a few, new shocks, ac compressor, fuel lines, ball joints, engine mounts, etc
This car is better than it was when it came from the factory, we took Porsche beautiful design and GMS's Fabrication team out did themselves with its custom designed genuine leather interior which features 2 toned burgundy and tan leather seats with intricate tan stitching, new leather door panels, new dashboard with tan stitching, it has new insulation and carpet, 944 custom embroidered floor mats and looks amazing.
Short cuts were not taken, it took us 17 months to fully restore this vehicle, and we have pictures from the beginning to end of this restoration with receipts, expenses were not spared with this car. Receipts, documentation and pictures are available and included in the sale.
