Speaking of In LOVE! Thisjust might be the mostB-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L
specimen of a Shelby GT500KR that your going to find ANYWHERE! This
car is in Mr. Kufleitner's personal collection. It was a nut and
bolt rotisserie restoration doneright here atJohn Kufleitner's
Galleria of Vintage, Classic,& Pristine cars. Mr. Kufleitner is the
3rd owner of this over 50 year old car. Believed to have only had
5,000 original miles when he purchased the car in 2014. From the
widow of the man that purchased the car in 1971 who purchased the
car from the original owner. Complete with the fullMarty report,
which has taught us that this car was purchased brand new right
here in good old Youngstown, Ohio! Believe itwhen wetell you this
car is 100% original sheet metal! Absolutely zero bondo or mud in
this one. This car is laser straightwith perfect gaps though out!Of
course in normal Galleria fashion we had to put it right back to
better than it was when Carol Shelby turnedit into the Bad Ass
machine that he did! From the deep mirror like shine of the correct
Acapulco Blue paint to the original numbers matching drivetrain. We
took all the time we needed to gently massage this oldcar back to
the awesome machine it was meant to be!This bad boy is packed with
a HUGE FE428CID Big Block backed up to the original 4speed
transmission and 9 inch ford rear-end. That will take you back to
1968 at what would feel like warp speed. Especially with all that
torque thatit blasts to the pavement. Here is what we have learned
about this car though the process. Beginning in April 1968, Ford
began factory installing a version of the 428 engine known as the
Cobra Jet. The GT500 was subsequently known as The Cobra GT500 KR.
The initials KR stood for King of the Road. Ford rated the Cobra
jet at 335 horsepower, but with 440 foot-pounds of torque at 3400
RPM, the horsepower was considered significantly underreported.
Shelby's KR engine was left stock adding die-cast aluminum valve
covers with Cobra Lemans to note Ford's FE engine family victory
over Ferrari at Le Mans in 1966 and 1967. Visit JKs Galleria Of
