Purchased in California just a few years ago, this 1946 Chevrolet
Panel Truck is still in good shape and runs excellent! The owner
that had it out in California had it restored many years ago and
would use it for deliveries for his business. After some time
though it made its way into storage where it sat for a few years
before getting scooped up and brought out to Colorado where it was
loved and maintained by the current owner. After being in storage
for a couple years a simple tune up was needed including a carb
rebuild and re-did the braking system to make sure it was safe to
drive. The body is very solid with no rust issues and a few
blemishes here and there, but perfect for driving around and
enjoying! The 216 cubic inch inline six cylinder engine fires right
up with a couple pumps of the throttle and a tap of the starter
button located on the floor. The Offenhauser intake features a twin
carburetor set up that is definitely a step up from the original
single carb. The 3-speed manual shifts in between gears easily and
the big steering wheel allows for easy control of this big vehicle
even at low speeds. To add a hot rodders touch the wheels were
changed out for a set of chrome smoothies wrapped in a set of
radials that dramatically improved the ride quality. With most of
these panel trucks being used for business and work horses very few
survived to 80 years old especially in the condition that this one
is in today! If you are looking for something cool and unique from
nearly everything else out there this 1946 Chevrolet Panel Truck is
a great choice and is very simple to work on if needed! This
vehicle is located in our Denver showroom. You can view this 1946
