Vehicle Description
Here is a great opportunity to buy a classic pick-up truck at a
great price that would be good for both work and pleasure. You can
go ahead and put this truck to work for you because the bed is
coated with Line-X to protect it, and the sharp paint job grabs
people's attention as you cruise the boulevard on a Friday night.
Check it out.
The clean lines of this '72, the last year for this
second-generation C series, really stand out in the Orange paint.
The fleetside design of the bed gives it long straight lines down
the side and the black roof makes the whole truck look lower and
leaner. The front fenders have an 8-350 badge just below the marker
lights which are trimmed in black. Up front, the hood flows over
into an egg-crate grill with a Chevy bowtie leading the way in the
center with a single headlight on each side. Polished trim
surrounds the grill and a shiny new bumper underlines it. There is
another new bumper out back resting under a tailgate with Chevrolet
lettering embossed into it. Drop that tailgate and you will find a
very useful bed coated with Line-X bedliner to protect both it and
your cargo.
Open the door and you will find a black door panel with a nice wood
grain insert outlining the window crank and door handle along with
a long armrest for comfortable cruising. The bench seat has been
beautifully reupholstered in black with cloth seating surfaces and
vinyl trim that includes the center section embossed with a Chevy
Bowtie. A two-spoke steering wheel sits in front of a dash with a
fresh new pad along the top. The gauge cluster is neat and clean
with the speedometer just over the volt meter and water temp gauge
on the left, with the fuel and oil pressure gauges on the right.
The center of the dash is a blank slate, ready for your choice of
stereo to be installed for your listening pleasure. Fresh carpeting
has vinyl bowtie floormats to protect it and ties the look of the
interior together nicely.
Open the hood and you will find a healthy 350 cubic inch V8. There
is a Spectre air cleaner assembly with a chrome Holley topper that
feeds an Edelbrock 4-barrel carburetor and intake manifold.
Polished valve covers are embossed with a bowtie dressed out in
orange and Chevrolet in black lettering. Long tube headers get the
spent gasses out and headed back to Flowmaster mufflers which give
this truck a nice bit of growl to it. The belts and hoses are all
in good condition and the power flows back through a 3-speed
automatic transmission to the rear wheels mounted on coil springs
with trailing arms. Up front a control arm suspension works through
coil springs too and has power steering for good maneuverability
whether it's in parking lots or loaded down with cargo. Power front
disc brakes assure good stopping ability and the rubber meets the
road through 255/70R15s in the rear and 225/70R15s in the front
mounted on steel wheels with trim rings and Chevy center caps.
For work, for play, or for both. This is a good-looking, capable
truck that is ready to roll. Come on down and check it out.
