Vehicle Description
This 1980 Rolls Royce Silver Wraith II was formerly owned by
"CHiPS" star, Erik Estrada, and appeared on episode two of Season
Two of "Unique Rides." For the show, the Rolls was shipped from
Erik Estrada's home in California to Unique Rides in Long Island,
NY. The show documented the customization of the car and ended with
a surprise reveal Mr. Estrada. The exterior received a custom wrap
and new vinyl roof. The interior of the Rolls was stripped to bare
metal, new carpet was installed and the seats were reupholstered
with hand-sewn Italian leather. The door panels were refinished in
matching leather and received new wood trim. The headliner was
replaced with suede to match the carpet and the piping on the
seats. The center console in the back was handmade to hold cigars
and champagne flutes. Sometime after the show was filmed, Mr.
Estrada changed the wrap and roof to match the original colors of
the car. The Silver Wraith II is the longer wheelbase Rolls Royce
offered in 1980 and the C at the end of the serial number indicates
it was produced for the California market. California cars were
fitted with Bosch Jetronic fuel injection. This Rolls-Royce is
powered by a 6.75-liter engine backed by an automatic transmission.
