For Sale at Auction: 1965 Dodge Dart GT in Scottsdale, Arizona
This custom Dart SL started out as a 1965 Dart GT. With less than
250 miles since its completion, it was built over 3.5 years and
features a custom-designed leather interior, custom-designed lights
and a 100-watt stereo with a backup camera, AM/FM/Sirius/CD and
Bluetooth connectivity. The Ford 9" rear end was also
custom-designed with 4:56 gears. It has a modified RideTech
coilover suspension and rides on Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires.
The 392ci Gen 2 HEMI engine is equipped with a Magnuson
supercharger, custom-built stainless-steel headers and custom
stainless-steel Boral exhaust. The engine is backed a Tremec
6-speed manual transmission, and monitored by custom classic gauges
designed specifically for the car. The more than 142 body and frame
modifications were professionally done, as was the custom paint.
This custom Dart rides on Schott wheels that were custom-built for
the car by Schott, and later marketed as the 65 SL in honor of the
car.
