This 1990 Toyota Sera right-hand-drive, 3-door hatchback coupe with
stock gullwing doors is a Japanese-only production car that was
limited to less than 16,000 units between 1990 and 1995. Nearly
all-original with 120,684 original kilometers (the title reads
75,102 miles), this Sera is equipped with a 1.5-liter engine that
produces 110hp and 98 ft/lbs of torque, backed by an automatic
transmission, and weighs in at around 2,000 pounds. Options include
center console, parking sensors, rain-sensing windshield wipers,
air conditioning and a Super Live Surround Sound (SLSS) stereo
system. It includes original manuals, spare tire, roadside flare
and factory tools. This car is one of the first Seras ever produced
and is considered the first one imported to the United States after
the Federal 25-year exemption in January 2015. It has a clean
CARFAX and is 100% U.S. legal. This coupe's overall layout and
design of the body, stock gullwing/butterfly type doors, rear hatch
and dash board were way ahead of its time. Sera is a French word,
which means "will be," and this car surely lives up to its name as
the McLaren F1 designer Gordon Murray cited the Sera as the
inspiration of the F1's door arrangement.
