Skylark GS California. This is a true Skylark GS California, not a
clone. However, it has been painted in the Skylark GSX motif. The
black stripes have been masterfully painted on, and the entire
yellow and black paint scheme has been clearcoated with numerous
coats, leaving it glass-smooth. This 1968 Buick Skylark GS
California underwent a rotisserie restoration at Diaz Classics in
Corcoran, CA, which did the complete package. In addition to being
a numbers-matching car, it also has all of its original body
panels. A hood tach was added to enhance that muscle car look, as
well. Pop the hood open, and you'll find its original 350 CID V8,
which is now topped by a FiTech Fuel Injection system, custom cast
aluminum Buick valve covers and aluminum intake manifold. Backing
the 350 is its original 2-speed Powerglide automatic, which was
redone at the same time the engine was. The pulleys are all done in
body color, and a big aluminum radiator with twin electric fans
help keep the 350 running cool. A Davis Unified Ignition HEI
distributor provides the spark delivery. Headers handle the exhaust
scavenging, sucking those spent fossils out into a custom Pypes
Performance dual exhaust system, and help give it both better
breathing and providing a nice muscle car rumble out back. A SunPro
3 gauge cluster was installed in the dash to help monitor key
engine functions, and it looks like it was made to be there. This
'68 runs and drives like a true muscle car, and certainly better
than it did when it was new. It has upgraded sway bars (both front
and rear), and the unsprung weight has been reduced by adding
custom rallye-styled aluminum wheels, which are wrapped in BF
Goodrich gForce Sport Comp2 radials (245/45ZR-17 front, and
255/45-ZR17 out back). It is raw, powerful, and sounds great. The
interior of this Skylark GS California is no different than the
rest of the car, in that it is super clean, and sports some nice
modern upgrades. The seats are tastefully done in cloth and vinyl,
with custom "GS" embroidery on the front buckets. The restoration
of this car was very well done, and provides the essence of what
muscle cars are. When you're cruising in this bad boy you will not
