Vehicle Description
This 1965 Lincoln Continental convertible with suicide doors has
been meticulously gone through with no expense spared. The car was
stripped down to bare metal, and all rust was cut out and replaced
with new sheet metal. The car was blocked numerous times for
straight panels and was finished in dark Metallic Gray Valspar
solvent paint with a House of Kolor clear coat. The interior has a
two-tone custom biscuit pattern with embossed stars and Nappa
leather imported from Italy. It also features Dakota Digital gauges
for a period-correct look, and a period-correct RetroSound radio
with a custom sound system. The car sits on original-style custom
20" Isotope Sofia wheels with custom 20" Toyo whitewall tires. The
window switches appear period-correct, but were updated with a
Porsche mechanism on the internals and modern window motors were
installed. The convertible top mechanism was updated with hydraulic
rams and pump, as well as new wiring and hoses. In addition, it was
fitted with a new black Haart Stayfast cloth top. The original
430ci 8-cylinder engine with powder-coated parts and FiTech fuel
injection has been completely gone through and is mated to an
automatic transmission. All other mechanical and suspension
components were gone through as well. Every piece of metal on this
Lincoln has been refinished, including the stainless trim that
accents the body lines. A brand-new exhaust system was installed
with MagnaFlow mufflers, and the disc brakes and cooling system
have been restored.
