Vehicle Description
1990 Ford Mustang Coupe
Street racing is typically an unsanctioned and illegal form of auto
racing that occurs on a public road. Racing in the streets is an
ancient hazard, as horse racing occurred on streets for centuries,
and street racing of automobiles is as old as the automobile
itself. In the United States, modern street racing traces its roots
back to Woodward Avenue, Michigan in the 1960s when the three main
Detroit-based American car companies were producing high-powered
performance cars.
Modified with an enlarged hood scoop, some wild graphics, a roll
bar, racing seats, and plenty of power, this Mustang is street
legal, as well as street lethal.
Exterior
A stock 1990 Ford Mustang with exterior hood modifications, throw
on some aerodynamic additions to the rear of the car in the form of
an enlarged spoiler. Oversized Hoosiers are on drilled billet style
racing mags.
Interior
Probably more strip than street, racing buckets, 3-point harnesses,
custom fabricated dash and console, a pillar molded in gauges, a
dash mounted tachometer with a shift indicator light, and plenty of
gray carpet in fair condition. Door panels present as original and
have some smudging.
Drivetrain
A rebuilt 302ci V8 with a Vortech Supercharger backed up with a
Tremec 5 speed equipped with a blow proof Bell housing. Consigner
states that this engine has been dyno'd at 585 HP.
Undercarriage
Some surface rust, mostly unremarkable, and a generally clean solid
undercarriage. 2-1/2-inch exhaust pipes are seen snaking to dual
performance mufflers. Vented front disc, and rear drum brakes are
also present.
A highly modified Ford Mustang, visually interesting, and
powerfully fascinating, this is definitely a 1 off custom modified
street racer. You could use it to go get groceries but be prepared
to stop by the pump.
