Vehicle Description
This 1970 Pontiac Trans Am is powered by its matching-numbers 400ci
Ram Air III engine backed by its matching-numbers Muncie M20
4-speed manual transmission. Over $110,000 was spent on the
rotisserie restoration, which was completed in 2010, with the only
deviations from stock configuration being the Flowmaster 2-1/2"
dual exhaust and the subframe connectors. The engine was completely
rebuilt at the time of restoration, was balanced and fitted with
hardened valve seats for use of modern fuel. The correct Rochester
Quadrajet carburetor was also rebuilt to factory specifications.
Finished in Polar White with Lucerne Blue stripe and a bright blue
interior, this Trans Am comes equipped with Safe-T-Track
differential, power disc brakes, power steering, Rally gauge
package, clock and tachometer and a push-button AM/FM stereo. It
rides on Rally II wheels with Goodyear Polyglas tires and has been
stored in a climate-controlled environment since its restoration.
This Trans Am was sold new at Sam Swope Pontiac in Louisville, KY,
and includes restoration documentation, receipts and PHS paperwork.
