Vehicle Description
This custom triple-black 1964 Lincoln Continental Resto-Mod
convertible has under gone a no-expense-spared transformation. The
drivetrain consists of a Mustang GT 5.0-liter Coyote engine that
produces 420hp and 390 ft/lbs of torque, mated to an automatic
transmission. The brand-new exhaust was fabricated from the
manifold back with MagnaFlow mufflers and QTP electronic cutouts.
The entire front clip has been modified and strengthened with frame
rails to support a Crown Victoria front end with rack & pinion
setup and disc brakes. A custom two-piece driveshaft leads to a
2004 Mustang Mach 1 3.73 rear end. A top-of-the-line air suspension
has been installed with RideTech Shockwaves in the front, Choppin'
Block 4-link in the rear, and it's all controlled by an Airlift 3H
management system. During the restoration the body was taken down
to bare metal, and all rusted areas were replaced with new sheet
metal. After blocking to ensure laser-straight panels, the car was
painted in House of Kolor Jet Black paint with a House of Kolor
clear coat. Every piece of metal on this car has been rechromed or
polished. This Lincoln sits on custom 20" Isotope Kennedy wheels,
which are replicas of the 60s-era hubcaps, wrapped in Toyo
whitewall tires. The interior is brand-new, with Nappa leather
hides imported from Italy. All window motors and switches have been
replaced with modern electronics. The convertible top has been
updated with hydraulic rams and pump, as well as all-new wiring and
hoses, and a new black Haartz Stayfast cloth top was installed.
Dakota Digital gauges give a period-correct look to the dash, and
keyless entry and push-button start were added for modern
convenience. A period-correct RestroSound radio with a custom sound
system completes this unique Lincoln.
