1947 Studebaker Commander. Very rare Commander (top of line) especially rare in a Starlite coupe (very few made). Even less built than the convertibles. This awesome surviver was owned and restored by a Schriner. Now 71 years young so sold to us the last of his favorite collectors. Was restored from an awesome example and was so good to start with, underneath and all sheet metal excellent, a frame-off would have been a waste of time. Correct, very attractive and never seen two-tone green. Done in base coat/clear coat for that shinny look. Quality and simply stunning. Everything newly chromed to the best grade. Even hood ornament, top of fender bullets, outside mirror, grill, both bumpers and both front and rear bumper guards. (Note front bumper has the bigger, cool bumper ends). All emblems new. Headlight bezels and fogs new. All weather stripping new including trunk and fire wall. New tinted one piece front windshield. All other glass replaced or excellent original. Interior is all new and done with correct material. Very classy, even new correct carpet, headliner and both visors new. Dash gauges all work and their glass is clear. Radio option, dash paint is excellent, as well as interior chrome. Only 98k miles with working speedometer. Under hood is stock smooth 6-cyl with 3-speed and even working overdrive. Note how clean and correct original color on firewall. Converted to 8-volt, so brighter lights and in/out and start faster with stronger spark. All mechanics good to go. Turn key, drives and looks great. Very cool and very collectable with no disappointments. Drive/enjoy the conversations. A serious great example of a rare Starlite with great colors and awesome condition.
