Vehicle Description
2003 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 Coupe
By now, we all probably know the kind of incredible performance
Corvette Z06's are capable of. Introduced way back in 1963 as the
ultimate track package for America's favorite sports car, the
marque has spent the better part of the last 20 years embarrassing
much more expensive competitors.
As the successor to the C4 Corvette ZR1 extreme performance option,
the C5 Z06 took horsepower and handling to another level. Using a
tuned version of the standard LS1 Corvette engine, the Z06 produced
405hp and was weighed considerably less than its high-powered
predecessor. Available only in hard top configuration due to the
added structural rigidity, improvements included upgraded FE4
suspension, larger wheels and tires, revised gear ratios,
functional brake ducts, titanium exhaust, thinner glass, lighter
wheels, and less sound proofing materials. These improvements
allowed the Z06 to accelerate from 0-60 in just 4 seconds and 12.4
seconds in the quarter mile.
Exterior
Presented is a beautiful black 2003 Corvette Z06. With just 34,500
two owner miles, this Z06 has been lovingly cared for and it shows.
Always garaged and covered and never driven in inclement weather,
this rocket ship comes with all options. At first glance, this Z06
doesn't look like much more than a stock Corvette, but then you see
it next to a standard Corvette and notice the wider fenders, more
muscular look, and chrome aluminum wheels, with a hint of the red
brake calipers peeking out. Where the standard Corvette looks
aggressive, this one looks downright nasty, as if it would just as
happily devour stray birds that got too close as it would the high
octane in its twin fuel tanks.
Interior
Behind the doors you'll find an Ebony leather interior that
balances modern convenience with a fair amount of style. The car's
power-adjustable seats are supple and supportive. A "CORVETTE"
branded dash hangs electroluminescent telemetry between a small
Heads Up Display and optional infotainment, which pipes sounds
through a 7-speaker Bose sound system. Below that dash, a broad
console balances a short-throw shifter between clean carpet, metal
foot pedals and "CORVETTE" branded sill plates. In front of the
driver, a leather-wrapped steering wheel laps a standard tilt
column. And naturally, all the luxuries you'd expect in a high
dollar sports car are present and accounted for including: power
windows, climate control, power steering, cruise control, and push
button traction control.
Drivetrain
The Z06 uses a high-output (LS6), a tuned version of the standard
Corvette's (LS1) producing 405hp . Although the Z06's total output
was less than that of the last ZR-1's, the Z06 was much lighter and
faster than the ZR-1 in every category except for top speed. It is
backed by an M16 transmission
Undercarriage
Very clean and absolutely rust free, and a plethora of lightweight
materials in use. Vented disc brakes, and a drip free engine and
differential.
Wrapping Le Mans-inspired athleticism in the sensory allure of
timeless black on black aesthetics.
Just Pennsylvania inspected, this Corvette needs nothing more than
a new owner to love, care and enjoy as its previous two owners
obviously have. Unbelievable performance and value for what
certainly will be one of Corvette's most coveted models. When you
see this car, you know it's something special, I don't care who you
are.
