The Chevrolet Chevy II/Nova was a small automobile manufactured by Chevrolet and was the top model in the Chevy II lineup through 1968.
1966 Chevy IIs introduced an extensive sharp-edged restyle based in part on the Super Nova concept car. In general, proportions were squared up but dimensions and features changed little.
The 1966 Chevy Nova we have at Classic Vintage Exchange has almost an all original look, except for the engine and transmission. Like we all did back in the day, what came as the original motor was not fast enough, so we transplanted a more powerful one.
That is what we have in this one, a modified 355 cubic inch small block Chevy with A FiTech Fuel Injection System and a throaty dual exhaust system backed by a performance manual shifted Turbo 400 Automatic Transmission, running 3:73 gears at the rear. This engine turns the normally mild Nova into a proper muscle car that will surprise most any muscle car on the street.
The exterior is a Red paint looks awesome on the crisp Nova shape with the exterior highlights including a bold grille and semi-fastback roofline. "Humped" fenders in an angular rear end were reminiscent of larger 1966 Chevrolets, though the 1966 Chevy II and Nova had vertical taillights and single headlights.
There are no modifications to the original bodywork and the car has a real sleeper look. Workmanship is very well done and lets the basic design speak for itself. All the trim looks great as do the bumpers.
Our Nova has what appears to be the original tan interior with a bench seat front and rear that features factory-style upholstery, stock dash and gauges with aftermarket gauge panel added,
The steering wheel is the factory one it came with as is the door panels, and most other interior appointments. A well-placed shifter comes out of the floor to your right and you can watch the rpms with a large face tach on the steering column.
And for a totally stock high-performance Nova look, it rides on Rally wheels wearing black wall tires. This Nova proves that good things definitely come in small packages.
If you want a very original hot rod version 1966 Chevy Nova, the hot one we have at Classic Vintage Exchange is the one for you.
Come see it today.
