Vehicle Description
Rare 421 HO tri-power, highly-optioned 1964 Pontiac Bonneville
two-door hardtop survivor.
Motorcar Studio is pleased to offer this lovely and original 1964
Bonneville. This Pontiac was delivered through A. W. Golden Pontiac
and was clearly a special order for a discerning customer who
checked all of the right boxes: it's one of only 245 engine code
"50" 421 cubic inch high-output, 370 hp, 3 2-barrel Bonnevilles
produced in 1964.
Beyond ordering the highest-spec engine available, this Bonne was
optioned with Hydramatic transmission, bucket seats (power driver),
rear defrost, power brakes, power antenna, seat belts, console,
power windows and vent windows, tilt, tach, vacuum gauge, power
steering, AM/FM with reverb, locking differential and more (per
included PHS documentation). It is finished in beautiful Nocturne
Blue over parchment and blue interior.
This numbers-matching car is a true survivor - the mileage shown of
just under 92,000 miles is believed original. Likewise we believe
the interior to be original along with all of the body panels and
underside. One older repaint in the correct color was completed to
a nice standard and is holding up well; original floors are among
the best we have seen (see photos). Interior chrome could use some
polishing and the dash pad has a couple of cracks but overall the
interior has held up remarkably well. Some records from the
previous and current owners are included - a 2017 service included
an engine reseal, carb rebuild, brake work, wheel bearings, tune-up
and more. Earlier work was noted on some power accessories and a
radio rebuild - most of the power items work on this car including
the AM/FM radio, windows, seat, antenna and gauges. Remote trunk
release and rear defrost are inop.
Runs and drives well and it presents as an honest and unmolested
example. Included PHS documentation confirms the specification and
a numbers-matching engine. For more information about this highly
optioned, big-block 1964 Pontiac Bonneville two-door hardtop for
