Vehicle Description
This 1989 Camaro IROC-Z still wears its original tires. Built in
September 1988, it's equipped with its original 230hp L98 350ci
tuned-port injection engine, backed by a 700R4 automatic
transmission with overdrive and a BorgWarner 9-bolt rear end.
Carefully preserved, this car is a time capsule. Its interior is in
like-new condition, and the undercarriage is preserved by 1989
dealer-installed Tuff-Kote Dinol. It's dressed in its original
factory Dark Red Metallic paint, which includes notable option DX3
that deleted the normal bold IROC graphics and stripes. It was
driven 344 actual miles and then placed into long-term storage. The
car was discovered and rescued from its hibernation 30 years later
and purchased from its original owner. CARFAX shows General Motors
manufacturer safety recall issued on 06/01/1990: Seatbelt buckles.
