Vehicle Description
1959 was the first model year of the El Camino, and 22,000 were
sold that year. This restored custom 1959 El Camino is a
15-year-old build that has had some freshening-up over the last
year under its current ownership. Updates included a FiTech fuel
injector system, new paint, tinted windows, custom two-tone wood
bed, new driver and passenger floor pans, and a custom aftermarket
front grille. The interior was done 15 years ago and features a
power cloth bucket-style bench seat, custom digital gauges with
blue LED lighting, air conditioning and an aftermarket stereo
system. The chassis is the original Chevrolet "Safety-Girder"
X-frame design with a full-coil suspension. This El Camino features
a unique winged rear, four headlights, and 15" American Racing
aluminum wheels with BFGoodrich radial T/A tires. This El Camino is
powered by a 350ci V8 engine with aftermarket EFI, shorty headers
and dual exhaust, backed by a 6-speed automatic transmission, and
is equipped with power steering, power front disc brakes with new
brake lines, new shocks and a posi-traction rear end.
