Vehicle Description
This mostly original 1968 Chrysler Newport has less than 38,000
original miles (mileage not indicated on the title). It is powered
by its original 383ci big-block engine with a rebuilt 2-barrel
carburetor, mated to a 3-speed automatic transmission, which was
removed from the car, inspected, opened up and fitted with new
gaskets before being reinstalled. After an extended time in storage
this Newport was professionally outfitted with a new gas tank, new
fuel lines, pump and filter, and new tires, wheels, brakes,
radiator, exhaust and front wheel bearings. The original interior
features the original AM radio, instrumentation, gauges and dash
speaker, as well as the original floor mats and headliner. The
exterior is all-original as well, including the paint, chrome and
glass. The previous owner lowered the stance of the car but
maintained the original equipment to restore the stance. The
original wheels and period-correct tires are also included.
