For sale at our Gateway Classic Cars of Chicago Showroom is this
gorgeous 1971 Buick Riviera. This is the first year of the third
Generation Riviera and it only lasted until 1973 making the "Boat
Tail" a somewhat rare Riviera. The "Boat Tail" design was inspired
by the 1963 Split Window Corvette. The car has been repainted in
Pearlescent White with a clean green pinstripe going down the
sides. During the respray the engine was pulled from the engine bay
and received an overhaul about 9,000 miles ago. The Carb was also
rebuilt during this time resulting in a clean and ready to go
Riviera. The car sits on the original 15-inch Alloy Wheels with
white wall tires. Under the hood lies the original 455 4 Barrel
Carb connected to the original TH-400 3-speed automatic
Transmission. The noise is emitted through dual chrome tip exhausts
coming out the rear. It has power Steering and Power Brakes making
it a breeze to drive. Inside is a clean green vinyl interior. The
gold colored dash looks great and the clock still works! The dash
has a protective green cloth cover to prevent cracking. It has
power seats, locks and windows. Hop in, fire the 455 CID or 7.5 L
V8 up kick on the A/C and ride in style with this '71 Riviera.
