Vehicle Description
A multiple award winner known as "The Wanderer," this 1956
Chevrolet Nomad was custom-built and fitted with AFCO 4-corner
coilovers, a triangulated 4-bar rear end, rack & pinion steering
and a Wilwood 4-wheel disc brake system. The professionally built
620hp LS3 V8 engine with a COMP Cams hydraulic roller camshaft and
Mahle forged pistons is topped with a Borla 8-stack electronic
fuel-injection system. The smoothed engine bay hosts a Be Cool
aluminum radiator and Ultimate stainless-steel headers. MagnaFlow
mufflers and polished 3" stainless tips finish the exhaust system.
The GM 4L60E automatic transmission comes with a 2800 stall
converter, sending power to a Strange 9" rear end packed with
3.70:1 gears. The laser-straight finish was done in Shimrin 2 Rich
Green Pearl and Light Cream Pearl paint over a custom interior. The
dashboard is a cleanly restyled design with a Dakota VHX gauge
cluster, four circular air vents, a Billet Specialties Monaco
steering wheel, LED lighting throughout and a custom full-length
steel console that runs between four bucket seats. "The Wanderer"
boasts a Bluetooth-compatible Kenwood touchscreen interface stereo
with NVX Audio speakers, subwoofers and amplifiers that produce
2,200-watts of crisp sound. This car has been kept in a museum-like
setting by its current owner and is roadworthy.
