Vehicle Description
This 1972 Pontiac Ventura underwent a 3-1/2 year build with the
goal of a comfortable Pro-Touring car that replicated the Trans-Am
race cars of the late '60s. No bolt was left unturned on this
build. Its 400ci engine was stroked to 455ci and equipped with an
Eagle iron crank, fully balanced rotating assembly, cowl-induction
NASCAR-style air cleaner and electronic ignition. The Ram Air IV
exhaust manifolds flow into ceramic-coated NASCAR-style side-exit
oval exhaust. A Legends 700 5-speed manual transmission with
overdrive puts the power to the pavement. This Ventura is equipped
with a fully rebuilt 10-bolt differential with upgraded axles and
Eaton 3.23 posi-traction, Detroit Speed Quadralink rear suspension,
adjustable coilovers on all four corners, huge sway bars front and
back, and quick-ratio power steering. It's also equipped with CPP
power brakes with 13" rotors up front and 11" in the rear, and
tubular front suspension components. The Centerline 17" wheels were
custom-made without logos and powder-coated Satin Gold. The
laser-straight body is finished in Voodoo Blue with nice gaps,
fully sanded and buffed. Custom body modifications included shaved
drip rails and 69 Trans Am taillights. Custom aluminum spoilers
were fabricated for the front and back. It sports all-new class and
seals, SCAT Bucket seats with Crow 5-point harnesses, custom rubber
floor mats and tons of sound-deadening. It also features factory
air conditioning upgraded to modern R134A.
