Vehicle Description
This award-winning 1965 Custom Mustang was nicknamed "Vendetta."
The heart of Vendetta is a Roush Performance 427ci engine with a
351-based, 9.5" deck and a Windsor iron-block and 4-bolt mains. It
has a forged-steel crankshaft, forged-steel H-beam connecting rods,
forged-aluminum pistons, Roush Performance aluminum CNC-ported
cylinder heads, Roush hydraulic-roller camshaft and 8-stack
induction with electric fuel injection. The exhaust is a custom 3"
exhaust with coffin mufflers. Vendetta has a Richmond 5-speed
manual transmission and a McLeod clutch. The rear end is a Moser 9"
that has been narrowed 5" with a limited-slip differential, 3.70
gears and 33-spline axles. The front suspension is a Scotts Hot
Rods standard IFS with Aldan coilovers, and the rear is a Moser
triangulated 4-link with Aldan coilovers. The wheels are Billet
Specialties with the front at 18x8" and 20x10" at the back.
Vendetta has a custom interior, and the exterior has extensive
custom bodywork mounted on a tubular chassis by Scotts Hot Rods and
Palmer Customs.
