Vehicle Description
This 1970 Chevelle, with less than 1,550 since completion, is an
excellent example of a well-executed Resto-Mod. This car really
comes alive under the hood, with a massive 572ci Chevy big-block
engine pushing 620hp backed by a programmable TCI 6-speed automatic
transmission. Helping put the power to the ground is a
Pro-Touring-style suspension with coilovers, a custom X-pipe
exhaust and Wilwood disc brakes to bring everything to a stop. This
high-quality restoration spared no expense, with custom body
modifications that include shaved roof drip rails, new outer door
panels, new quarter panels, new rear quarter panels, flush-mounted
front and rear glass, and a cowl-induction hood. An expertly
applied recent base coat/clear coat paint refinish on the
high-quality high-gloss black paint and silver SS-style stripes
makes this Chevelle standout. The bumpers have been painted to
match, the rear taillight lenses were smoked, and the car rides on
a set of 20" Asanti 3-piece wheels to complete the menacing look of
the exterior. On the inside, a handmade custom dash and console
highlight a unique interior complete with custom door panels, a
Flaming River steering wheel and modified GTO seats. For comfort, a
Vintage Air system was added, complete with billet control knobs,
in the center console. Additionally, a set of AutoMeter gauges has
been added, along with a high-level stereo featuring a JVC head
unit with backup camera, navigation and Bluetooth. Dynamat
sound-deadener was applied throughout the interior, as the onboard
audio system includes Hertz Mille 10" subwoofers, Audison AV Uno
amplifier, Audison AV Quattro amplifier, Hertz Mille two-way
speakers and Hertz Energy 6x9" speakers. The attention to detail
continues with the underside and engine bay, which have the same
high-gloss black finish as the exterior, and a set of billet hood
hinges were added to match the accessory drive. Details like
push-button start, keyless entry, GPS tracking and a Passport
9500CI radar detector have been added to cap off this impressive
build. This one-of-a-kind car will be featured as part of the
Barrett-Jackson Car Pack in Microsoft's award-winning games: Forza
Motorsport 7 and Forza Horizon 4, and comes out of the personal
collection of Barrett-Jackson EVP/General Manger, Nick Cardinale.
