This 1969 Chevrolet Camaro is a real RS/SS that has previously
undergone a full nut-and-bolt rotisserie restoration with
approximately 2,700 miles since completion. It's finished in
burgundy paint with correct black hockey stripes and it's powered
by a matching-numbers 396ci 8-cylinder engine mated to a date-code
correct M21 close-ratio 4-speed manual transmission. The engine is
outfitted with professionally polished Edelbrock heads, triple
chrome-plated Edelbrock aluminum intake, 700 Speed Demon
carburetor, Heartbeat of America triple chrome-plated valve covers,
polished Edelbrock aluminum water pump and a Mach V belt pulley
system. It's also equipped with a polished Be Cool radiator, chrome
power steering pump and MSD 6AL ignition with interior remote
timing adjustment unit. Exhaust flows through Hooker competition
headers into a custom mandrel-bent 3" Torque Tech exhaust system
with Flowmaster mufflers, all of which is ceramic-coated and
polished. The 4" polished-aluminum driveshaft connects to a Chris
Alston FAB9 chrome rear end with chrome mono-leaf springs, C.E.
Slide-A-Link traction bars and silver powder-coated bolt-on frame
connectors. The front suspension features chrome upper and lower
A-arms with QA1 adjustable coilovers. Stopping power is provided by
4-whel disc brakes featuring SSBC-style polished aluminum calipers.
This Camaro is also equipped with a nitrous system, complete with
two polished billet aluminum bottles mounted on chrome rails in the
trunk. The system was installed for show only and has never been
used. The interior features black houndstooth seats, factory tilt
steering with rosewood steering wheel, 140 mph speedometer,
Tic-Toc-Tach and custom white-faced Auto Meter console gauges. This
Camaro sits on 17" American Racing Torq Thrust II polished-aluminum
wheels wrapped in Bridgestone tires.
