For Sale: 1969 Plymouth Road Runner in Denton, Texas

Vehicle Description

653 hp 528 ci fuel-injected Ray Barton HEMI with 593 foot pounds of torque per dyno test and records.  This Road Runner is beautifully restored with great attention to detail and no expense spared.  It includes over $56,000 of documented parts not including the costs of donor vehicle, interior and painting (of which I do not have any records).  This beautiful Road Runner includes: power steering, power brakes with front discs, AC (installed 2017), 528 Ray Barton HEMI, FAST=EFI 2.0, four-speed transmission with overdrive kit by Passon transmissions, a Hurst shifter with pistol grip, a Dana 60 locker 4.10 differential, Micky Thompson tires, American Racing mags, aftermarket AM/FM radio cloning the looks of the original radio, electric cut-outs, and LED headlights.  The engine compartment, undercarriage and trunk are spotless.  New Interstate battery as of 12/18.

If you are not familiar with Ray Barton Racing Engines, go to their website and check them out.  They are the premier HEMI builder in the US for the street and track.

Special note on the attached video of the car:  This video was taken about three years ago.  Since then I have added the Classic Air AC.  The still photos of the engine compartment now show the polished compressor but the older video does not include it.  Also, the older video shows the instrument gauges on the steering column.  I pulled them off the steering column and relocated them under the dash.  This is a much cleaner look as shown accurately in the still photographs.

I have owned this car since 2016 and it has not been driven hard under my ownership.  It is for sale since I desire to redeploy the funds to a 1963 Split Window Corvette.  The owner of this Road Runner prior to me traded the car in on a pontoon boat for his grandchildren; thus, I do not believe it was driven hard under that ownership. The owner of the boat dealership is a friend of mine who alerted me to the opportunity to acquire this unique Road Runner.  I was not looking for another classic car at the time, but when I saw it and drove it I could not resist the opportunity to acquire this spectacular machine with the primo Ray Barton 528 HEMI.

If you want a beautiful "beast" of a car that turns heads, this is the one for you.  Someone once told me this car was loud as I was driving up to a restaurant, then I opened the electric dumps...  Big Grin!  If you really want to have some fun, take this show-quality car to a car show and drive in with the cut-outs open.  Every "motor head" there will turn, listen and stare with envy.  BTW: It shows well in either the Mopar or the Muscle Car classes at a show.
