Vehicle Description
This 1958 Corvette Resto-Mod is powered by a 525hp 6.2-liter LS3
engine from GM Performance, which is coupled to a T56 Magnum Tremec
6-speed manual transmission and a Dana 44 rear end with a 3.73
ratio. The car was built by Houston Corvette Service in Texas with
a high-quality finish and attention to detail. The car has been
driven only road test miles. It is wired with a GM wiring harness
and computer matched with an American Autowire wiring harness for
the peripherals. The car boasts Vintage Air, power steering,
4-wheel disc brakes and independent suspension mounted on a black
powder-coated frame from Corvette Correction in Sealy, TX. Hoses
and harness are essentially hidden from view for a clean,
professional look. The engine is cooled by a Be Cool aluminum
radiator with electric fans designed to go on by thermostatic
control or when the air conditioning is on. The interior, while
appearing almost original, sports Classic Instruments gauges,
modern Wonder Bar radio with Bluetooth and USB port and power
windows. It has a complete leather interior over original door
panels, custom double-stitched leather seats and dash pad, along
with a leather-lined trunk. The car is finished in Tuxedo Black PPG
paint and clear coat. The body is smooth with tight lines and
smooth surfaces. As a final touch, the original door handles have
been replaced with flush-mounted C5 door handles. The hood opens
with remote-controlled actuator lifts.
