Vehicle Description
This factory 442 W-30 coupe has 81,785 original miles (mileage not
indicated on ownership documents). It was ordered from Olympic
Oldsmobile in Chicago, IL, on October 1, 1969, and is one of 1,032
442 W30 coupes built. Extensively optioned as ordered, it retains a
performance axle package with heavy-duty radiator and W-30
performance package. It's powered by a 455ci 8-cylinder engine
coupled with an M21 close-ratio 4-speed manual transmission, and is
finished in Twilight Blue with matching vinyl interior. It was the
cover car and feature spread in the June 2018 issue of American Car
Collector magazine, in which it was referred to as "the finest
original and unrestored 1970 442 W-30 4-speed coupe in existence."
This W-30 is very original, with largely original paint,
all-original interior, original matching-numbers W-30 engine and
transmission with the original Hurst shifter. It received the First
Place award in the Preservation Class at the 2018 Cobble Beach
Concours d'Elegance, and the trophy and ribbon are included. This
442 W-30 has accumulated only 6,000 miles since coming out of the
original first owner's care. Accompanying this 442 are copies of
the original paperwork including the order form, invoice Broadcast
Sheet, dealer invoice and Protect-O-Plate with service book
stamped. A Cas-Am Performance embossed Rocket Report is included,
along with a copy of America Car Collector magazine displaying this
vehicle on the cover, period photos with the original owner and
documented chronological history. **TITLE IN TRANSIT**
