Vehicle Description
This 1969 428 Cobra Jet GT convertible has documentation from day
one, including a copy of the first title on the vehicle and a copy
of the Window Sticker. This matching-numbers Mustang has a Ford
Motor Company archive CSD letter and an Elite Marti Report, which
documents this car as having been built on November 7, 1968, at the
Metuchen, NJ, plant, is one of 50 built with a 428 CJ engine, and
is one of one with its specifications. A Ford executive car, it was
delivered to the Philco-Ford headquarters in Philadelphia, where it
remained until 1971. This Mustang has been restored using its
original components and sheet metal, and retains its original
interior. It's powered by a 428ci 8-cylinder engine mated to a
3-speed automatic transmission and has approximately 2,000 miles
since the restoration, with 71,000 original miles in total (mileage
not indicated on the registration). This convertible has been in
the MCA-published Mustang Times magazine and 428 Cobra Jet Registry
2014 calendar, and has two binders of documentation and two framed
information boards.
