CAV Advance Vehicles is a premier manufacturer of GT40
re-creations. This 1964 CAV GT40 re-creation is finished in LeMans
Blue with Ford GT side stripes, oval rear vents, Raydot mirrors and
Cobra open-letter valve covers. It has less than 1,600 miles and
rides on safety-wired BRM wheels with Goodyear Blue Streak tires.
The inside features full leather interior, including headliner and
doors, Smith's instruments, Shelby open plenum air horn, hidden air
conditioning and a Ford GT steering wheel center. This GT40 is
powered by a Keith Kraft 331ci stroker engine with AFR heads, a
165- and 180-degree thermostat, Jet Hot-coated Bundle-of-Snakes
headers, Ford dual-point restored with Pertronix Electronic and
coil with tailor wires, a Holley 670 Avenger carburetor tuned by
Keith Kraft and Ford Motor Sports aluminum intake. This car also
features a 5-speed manual transmission, high-output alternator,
Hybrid Audi Gertrag rear end with preferred gear ratios and optimal
ring & pinion, Dynamat sound proofing throughout, and a revised
bulkhead cover by Auto Futura. These cars are built with as
stainless-steel monocoque chassis for strength and hand-finished
beauty. This example is equipped with completely adjustable shock
absorbers, PBR brakes and twin 9.5-gallon aluminum fuel cells
mounted in the monocoque cells. The pedal box is manufactured from
aircraft-grade billet aluminum and laser-cut to precision. It
offers a flexible driving setup to suit personal preference.
