Vehicle Description
Recently completed, professionally built 1967 Corvette Pro-Touring
Resto-Mod. Roadster Shop fit the original 67 body to their Fast
Track chassis with modern Corvette suspension, stainless-steel fuel
tank, coilover adjustable suspension, 4- and 6-piston Wilwood
calipers with drilled and slotted rotors, CV joint axles, custom
posi-traction rear end, power rack & pinion steering, and
independent front and rear suspension. Roadster shop crafted a
custom rear floor and transmission tunnel to clear the new chassis
and transmission as well as fit the 625hp LSX 427ci engine. The
LSX427 is mated to a T-56 6-speed manual transmission controlled by
a hydraulic clutch. Features of the engine include KaTech
powder-coated valve covers, custom carbon-fiber intake cover, coil
relocation kit, and a Concept 1 front runner system with a power
master alternator, polished aluminum power steering reservoir and
polished aluminum air conditioning compressor. A DeWitts dual-fan
LS radiator keeps the engine cool and is supplied by custom-made
stainless-steel tubes. Stainless Works long-tube headers flow into
3" side pipes with Auger inserts that were custom-fabricated by
Roadster Shop. Power is supplied by an American Auto Wire Highway
22 wiring system with the fuse panel hidden in the rear deck.
Electrical components include: power windows from Auto City Classic
controlled by a Billet Specialties switch, Detroit Speed headlamp
motors, Dakota Digital programmable gauges and clock, Detroit Speed
wiper motor, and heated seats. The interior also features a custom
stereo system with two 12" subwoofers, two 6" speakers and tweeters
with cross overs, and two 6" speakers with integrated tweeters all
controlled by a remote Mount digital receiver with Bluetooth, with
the head unit hidden behind the glove box door. The interior sports
custom-made leather dash pads with French stitching, a custom-made
center console wrapped in leather, Billet Specialties pedal covers,
custom-made 80/20 loop red carpet, and restored original 67 seat
frames with new leather covers and foam with seat heaters added to
both the seat backs and seat bottoms. A modern heating and cooling
system by Vintage Air keeps the cockpit cool or heated as needed.
The original 67 Corvette top frame was completely reconditioned,
new weatherstripping was installed and an updated Stayfast cloth
top was professionally installed. Custom-made wide quarter-panels
were added to the body of the car for a more aggressive stance and
clearance of wider rear wheels and tires. BOZE custom-made clutch
wheels provide just the right amount of clearance for both the
brakes and the body while offering an aggressive Resto-Mod look.
