Vehicle Description
A professionally done, concours-style restoration was performed on
this documented, National Award-Winning, factory-produced 1971
Oldsmobile 442 convertible. It is documented with its original
Broadcast Sheet and Protect-O-Plate. This 442 is powered by its
matching-numbers 455/365hp V8 engine and Turbo 400 automatic
transmission backed to a 12-bolt 3.23 posi-traction rear axle with
a W27 aluminum differential cover. It's finished in its
factory-optioned blue on blue color scheme with a white convertible
top and white stripes. It comes loaded with factory options,
including W25 air-induction hood, factory air conditioning, power
steering, power top, power disc brakes, sport steering wheel,
bucket seats with console, Hurst Dual Gate shifter, Chrome SSI
wheels with correct G70 Firestone wide oval raised white-letter
tires, sport mirrors, AM/FM radio, factory gauge package with
tachometer and F41 heavy-duty suspension. It's also equipped with
T3 headlamps, correct-stamped hoses and tower clamps, factory
decals and a detailed underside. Still wearing all of its
factory-original sheet metal and spending the majority of its life
around the Phoenix area, this 442 has only changed hands three
times. It was the First Place winner at Oldsmobile Nationals in
2015 and is one of 1,304 produced.
