Vehicle Description
This frame-off-restored 1955 Chevy 3100 custom pickup was recently
completed and has less than 100 miles on the build. Finished in
DuPont Hot Rod Red, this Resto-Mod truck is powered by a GM
Performance ZZ 502ci crate engine pushing out over 500hp and 500
ft/lbs of torque. The engine is fueled by twin Edelbrock
carburetors with a chrome intake manifold, and is surrounded by a
finished engine bay showcasing a custom and smoothed firewall. It
breathes through Sanderson headers with a 3" MagnaFlow exhaust. A
TH400 3-speed automatic transmission transfers the power via an
aluminum driveshaft connected to a painted Currie 9" posi-traction
rear end with 3:08 gears. The upgraded, 4-corner Air Ride
Technologies suspension features a TCI front clip with tubular
A-arms, rack & pinion steering and a TCI triangulated 4-link rear
end. The reinforced and boxed frame has been sanded smooth and
painted, and the truck rides on 20" Boyd Coddington wheels wrapped
in BFGoodrich rubber. The custom interior sports TMI seats, door
panels and headliner, along with tilt steering, a billet steering
wheel and shifter, and a set of Auto Meter Antique Series gauges
that reside in the custom dash. The customized bed assembly
features an oak floor, mini tubs and custom latches on the
tailgate. All-new chrome, new aluminum gas tank, new Be Cool
aluminum radiator with electric fan, new wiring harness, new glass
all around and power windows complete this custom truck.
