For Sale at Auction: 1936 Ford 1 Ton Flatbed in Scottsdale, Arizona

Vehicle Description

This 1936 Ford custom roadster's ground-up restoration was completed in November 2018. Its body is composed of fiberglass with steel fenders, running boards, grille and hood sides. The grille has been sectioned 1", leaned back 5" and the back cut off. The top of the grille plate and grille were shaped into one piece. The one-piece hood has been extended and sloped in front and re-peaked with custom hood side panels. The front fenders are welded into one piece, all holes filled, lowered 1-1/2" on the body and fitted with 1937 Ford headlights. The front fender wheel wells have been cut out 1-5/8" and reshaped. The rear fenders have been lengthened and re-peaked with flush-mounted taillights, and the rear pan below the rumble seat has been smoothed out and reshaped. It has suicide-style doors with hidden hinges, reinforced door jambs, a custom curved windshield, custom-made removable hardtop and the running boards have been modified with a slight curve. The license plate is recessed and molded into the body. The car has nerf bars in the front and rear that serve as bumpers. This custom roadster is equipped with Heidts Mustang II front suspension, TRW rack & pinion steering, and an 8" Ford powder-coated rear end with parallel leaf springs and a 4" drop lowering plate. It's powered by a high-performance 5.0-liter 8-cylinder crate engine mated to a Ford C4 automatic transmission with a B&M shift kit. The engine has been outfitted with polished aluminum pulleys and valve covers, polished alternator, polished high-flow water pump, four Weber 44 DF carburetors, polished manifold, polished billet-aluminum air cleaner, Sanderson headers and modified electronic ignition. The interior is covered in black Swedish Glove leather, including the rumble seat, and features custom-made seats, Mercedes nylon carpet, GM tilt steering column, Billet Specialties steering wheel, custom air conditioning and a custom-made dash that extends into the door panels. It also features a custom instrument panel with VDO gauges, and a Kenwood radio with CD player and six speakers.
