Vehicle Description
This 1955 Chevy Nomad Resto-Mod station wagon is a frame-off
restoration that had a refresh about two years ago. It was built
with a high-performance fuel-injected 350ci ZZ3 crate engine with
aluminum heads and a 700R4 automatic transmission. The engine
features a polished serpentine belt system and custom core support
with an aluminum radiator, and resides in a clean engine bay with a
smoothed firewall. This Nomad is equipped with Vintage Air, power
windows, remote hydroboost brake system, an upgraded stereo with
six speakers, and rear custom battery with a hidden trailer hitch
behind the license plate. The electrical was professionally wired
with a modern fuse box, and the battery was relocated. The
suspension was updated with tubular upper and lower A-arms, custom
sway bars, urethane bushings and engine mounts, coilover shocks
with dropped spindles and custom-made leaf springs, and 4-wheel
disc brakes. This Resto-Mod rides on custom-made and fitted Schott
wheels. The custom interior features new gauges, tachometer, and
color-matched Ididit steering column and custom steering wheel.
This rust-free California car is as clean underneath as it is on
top.
