Vehicle Description
This is a fully documented 1966 Ford Mustang GT K-code fastback
with a variety of Shelby performance parts installed, including
underride traction bars, GT350 horn button and gas cap, dual 4V
induction system and 8000-rpm Rally Pack instrumentation. It's also
equipped with no-spin differential, Cobra oil pan and a GT350
racing hood with hood pins. Included in the restoration were Tri Y
headers with extensions, KONI front and rear shock absorber kit,
and a heavy duty-clutch kit. It's riding on GT350 wheels with
Goodyear blue-dot tires. It's powered by a matching-numbers,
rebuilt 289/290hp engine with a dual Carter Shelby 4V induction
system with a Cobra engine dress-up kit, backed by a 4-speed manual
transmission. Equipped with dealer-installed remote trunk release
and floor mats. All documentations showing DSO of Kansas City with
Broadway Motors dealer plate and original documented Cobra Emblems
are included in the sale. This is a two-owner barn find, found in
Clarinda, IA. Included is documentation of the complete restoration
and pictures of the barn find with a Shelby-signed visor. The car
won the MCA Concours Trailered Gold Award in 2009 with judging
sheet and Best of Show at the 2010 Relay 4 Life Car Show. It is a
three-time World of Wheels award-winner, taking home Outstanding in
Class in 2009 and 2010 as well as Best in Class in 2010, and the
2008 Sponsors Choice Award at Last Fling Till Spring in West Point,
NE. The car has not been shown since 2011.
