This Palomar Red 1963 Chevrolet Impala SS 2-door hardtop has been
given a full frame-off restoration, and retains its original body
panels and floors. Powering this Super Sport is a 409ci W-series
big-block V8 engine that produces 340hp. The engine is mated to a
Powerglide automatic transmission. At the top of that mill, a
heavy-duty single-snorkel air cleaner forced oxygen into a large
4-barrel carburetor. Fuel and air flow from there into a factory
iron intake that's bordered by factory Chevrolet heads and chromed
factory valve covers. Everything under the hood has been restored
and detailed. The restored interior features a full set of original
floor mats, vinyl upholstery, bucket seats, floor console with a
floor-mounted chrome shifter and special SS door panel appliqus.
There's also a factory-installed tachometer on the dash, a factory
tissue dispenser under the glove box and a Delco AM/FM radio.
Correct carpeting and headliner round out the interior details. The
fully restored trunk carries a correct mat with a full-sized spare.
The chassis is detailed and the car is equipped with power brakes
and power steering. A select offering from The Bryan Frank
Collection.
