Vehicle Description
This 1964 Ford Fairlane Thunderbolt re-creation started with an
original rust-free California car and received an extensive
rotisserie restoration. Built in the style of the legendary
Thunderbolt, this Fairlane is equipped with Crites fiberglass hood,
fenders, bumpers and decklid, all wrapped in classic Deep Burgundy
paint. The all-black interior includes custom bucket seats with RJS
4-point seatbelts, tilt steering column, Lecarra steering wheel,
Auto Meter gauges, Hurst line-lock and a 4-point custom roll bar.
The power comes from a roller-cammed 351ci Windsor engine featuring
aluminum heads and MSD distributor, and is backed with a
hydraulic-clutched 5-speed manual overdrive transmission. The power
is put to the ground through a nodular 9" Ford rear end with
Strange 31-spline axles, Powertrax differential and 4.11 gears.
Upgraded 4-wheel disc brakes provide the stopping power. The
chassis features Crites Thunderbolt traction bars, subframe
connectors, shock tower export brace and trunk mounted battery kit.
This Fairlane rides on a custom set of Bogart Racing wheels.
